Stephen founded Demi-paradise Productions in 2000. The rolling ensemble performed sell out indoor promenade Shakespeare & other entertainments at Shire Hall, Lancaster Castle up until 2016. He was commissioned by Buckingham Palace to entertain HM The Queen, as Duke of Lancaster, when she visited in May 2015. Stephen continues as producer/performer from his new home in Northumberland. Current projects are Haunted: Ghost Story Readings for Halloween touring arts venues in Northumberland. A Winter Warmer: An Evergreen Celebration of Yuletide in Words & Music (in association with acapella choir LOKA) at the Theatre Royal Dumfries in December. Since Richard II in 2000 Demi-paradise staged Measure for Measure (2001), Macbeth (2002), All’s Well that Ends Well (2004), Richard III (2006) Hamlet (2008) The Merchant of Venice (2010) Much Ado About Nothing (2012) & Othello (2014) and a new different production of Measure for Measure (2016). Other annual productions were Deck the Hall with Boughs of Holly, a celebration of Yuletide in words and music, and Ghostly Tales – modern and classic short story readings in low lit rooms – proved equally popular in the run up to Halloween.
